BELOIT HISTORY AND PRIVACY ISSUES

PURPOSE AND DISPOSITION OF HISTORICAL DOCUMENTS

The main purpose of the Beloit History Project is to preserve historical information for future generations that may have an interest in the past. What will become of the historical content of this site? This is a non-profit endeavor. At such a time that the Paper History Channel may cease to exist, any content will be donated to a public historical institution for preservation.

One of the challenges of  history research is to find information related to the topic of interest. Our past experience, authoring Paper History Channel articles is that the search to find information is effected by the field of interest in the topic, how long the topic has been out of the public domain and the scope of the project.

In the case of searching for information regarding Pusey & Jones,  we were fortunate in tapping a few sources. We were also fortunate in discovering a paper history buff by the name of Oyvind Haugen of Norway who not only donated a lot of information, but assisted in putting  the information in a format suitable for publication on this site. In the case of  John Ingles and Bagley & Sewall, to name just a couple projects of interest, we have had very limited success The information is buried in attics, basements or historical repositories forgotten or discarded. We have not given up on these topics and welcome information from voluntary sources while we  continue our search.
