STUDY RESULTS:

Notice in the above study, the TRIMMED TONS chart peaks at 1701 tons (1542 metric tons) at the 6000 FPM (1829 MPM) winder intersection. In the top chart, the equivalent PM speed at the 6000 FPM (2134 MPM) intersection is 2259 FPM.(689 MPM). Our study is indexed at a PM operating speed of 2250 FPM.(686 MPM) The study reports that based on the data inputs, the winder must average 6000 FPM (1829 MPM) operating speed to maintain production parity with the paper machine.
